Cookie policy

Last updated: draft for Phase 0 sprint

This page explains how Edie ([Company Ltd]) uses cookies and similar technologies on heyedie.app and related early-access pages.

We use a reject-by-default approach on the marketing website: essential cookies may run so the site works; analytics and marketing stay off until you choose. Closing the banner with "X" counts as reject. Reject all and Accept all are given equal weight.

Categories

CategoryDefaultWhat it does
EssentialAlways onNeeded for security, payments, remembering your cookie choice, and basic site function.
PreferencesOff until you chooseRemembers things like appearance preferences.
AnalyticsOff until you acceptHelps us count visits and see which features work (PostHog EU cloud when configured). We do not use this to sell your data. Session replay is disabled or masked for early access.
MarketingOff until you acceptTells us which creator, advert or referral link brought you here. Creator codes (?c=) and UTM params are kept in sessionStorage (edie_attr_session_v1) for the visit; with marketing or preferences consent we also set a first-party cookie edie_attr_v1 (30 days, SameSite=Lax) so the code survives return visits. Codes are also stored server-side at sign-up / checkout when you submit a form.

Your choices

You can change your mind at any time via Cookie settings. We do not sell your data, and we never use your emails for adverts.

UK law (PECR and related updates) may treat some statistical or appearance storage as exempt with a clear opt-out. On this marketing site we still ask first for analytics and marketing. Full policy body to be finalised after solicitor review.
